The Deanship of Development and Quality (DDQ) organized the strategic program for developing academic staff entitled “Excellence in University Teaching: Contemporary Practices and Academic Innovation.” The program was held during the period from Thursday, April 23, 2026, to Thursday, May 7, 2026, through an integrated interactive environment via Microsoft Teams, targeting faculty members and academic leaders at the university.
The implementation of this program comes as part of the DDQ’s efforts to develop teaching practices, enhance the quality of university education, and empower academic staff to adopt modern and innovative approaches to teaching and learning, in line with contemporary trends in higher education and in support of improving educational outcomes.The program included five specialized training themes delivered by a select group of academic experts. These themes addressed key topics, including analytical learning through educational case studies, instructional design and professional course design, academic advising and student empowerment for success, advanced teaching strategies for organizing learning outcomes, and academic innovation using emerging technologies. The program focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills required to design interactive and stimulating learning environments, employ modern teaching strategies, align teaching practices with learning outcomes, and enhance the effective use of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence in developing academic performance.
The DDQ emphasized that the implementation of this program is part of its qualitative initiatives aimed at building distinguished academic capabilities, supporting excellence in university teaching, and promoting a culture of academic innovation, thereby contributing positively to the quality of education and its outcomes at the university.
