The Deanship of Development and Quality organized a workshop titled “Academic Leadership” for the university’s faculty members on Sunday, November 9, 2025, held online via Microsoft Teams.
The workshop was delivered by Prof. Zainab bint Majid Al-Mutairi, and aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of academic leadership, introduce the characteristics of academic leaders, highlight the roles and outcomes of effective academic leadership, and emphasize the professor’s role in fostering leadership within academic environments. It also addressed the importance of strategic planning for academic leadership, managing work teams through effective leadership approaches, and explored the concept of neo-charismatic leadership.
The workshop featured interactive discussions and practical applications drawn from real leadership scenarios within the university context, contributing to the enhancement of institutional practices and the strengthening of academic governance effectiveness.
