Workshop on " Defining and Assessing Learning Outcomes for Academic Programs "

The Deanship of Development and Quality (DDQ) organized a specialized workshop titled "Defining and Assessing Learning Outcomes for Academic Programs," aimed at university faculty members. The workshop sought to enhance participants' understanding of concepts and terminology related to learning outcomes, while highlighting their importance for all stakeholders, including students, faculty, and the academic institution. It also covered key principles in defining learning outcomes and how to effectively formulate them for programs and courses, along with common mistakes in their formulation. Additionally, the workshop addressed the basics of assessing learning outcomes through a practical case study. The workshop was presented by Dr. Eid Abu Al-Ezz, a consultant to the DDQ, on Sunday, 26 Rajab 1446 AH, corresponding to January 26, 2025, in the DDQ’s training room, with attendance also available via Zoom.
