PSAU has continued to rise in the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings 2027. In a significant leap, it now ranks 14th in the Arab world and 5th among Saudi universities.
The university attributes this progress to its ongoing investment and its focus on advanced research output, academic excellence, and a better educational environment. Its wide-ranging partnerships and sustainability initiatives also contributed. Together, these efforts strengthen PSAU’s academic standing and its presence in international and academic forums.
The 2027 result continues the steady progress PSAU has made in the Arab University Rankings in recent years. It moved from the 71–81 band in 2023 (18th nationally) to 61st in 2024 (15th nationally), then to 16th in 2026 (7th nationally). In the 2027 edition, it reached 14th in the Arab world and 5th nationally, an improvement of 57 places regionally and 13 places nationally.
PSAU has made similar progress in Times Higher Education’s annual global rankings. It moved from the 601–800 band in 2025 to the 451–500 band in 2026, and it now ranks 414th in the world in the latest edition. These results strengthen its position among leading higher education institutions and support the goals of the Human Capability Development Program and Saudi Vision 2030.
