he College of Applied Medical Sciences in Wadi ad-Dawasir, represented by the Academic Guidance and Counseling Unit, organized an orientation session for new students in the Nursing Department for the 1448 AH academic year, aiming to facilitate their integration into the university environment.
The event was held on Monday, Rabi’ al-Awwal 18, 1448 AH (August 31, 2026), at the Colleges Complex Theater, under the auspices of the College Dean, Dr. Mubarak bin Abdullah Al-Dosari. He inaugurated the meeting by congratulating the students on their admission and encouraging them to strive for academic excellence to serve the community. The program featured an overview of the Nursing Department’s vision and academic plan, presented by the Head of the Department, Dr. Mardhi Al-Dosari, and Dr. Mustafa Zanaty. Furthermore, Dr. Mohammed Al-Jabri explained the role of the Counseling Unit and the support provided to students by the psychological clinic, while Dr. Waleed Hemaida highlighted the Alumni Unit's efforts in preparing students to pass the professional licensing exam. The male campus events concluded with a motivational speech by alumnus Saad Al-Dosari, who shared his experience with the attendees, followed by an open Q&A session to address the new students' inquiries.
On the female campus, the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Saja Al-Thubaiti, welcomed the new female students with an opening address, praising the stimulating educational environment. The meeting included a video presentation introducing the university and its academic staff, along with a detailed explanation of the study plan presented by the Department Coordinator, Dr. Sahar Abdulmohsen. Dr. Mervat Al-Kashef also discussed the guidance and counseling services, and an overview was provided regarding the functions of various college units, such as Quality Assurance, Student Activities, Talented Students, Student Clubs, and the Student Council. In closing, a discussion panel was opened to answer the students' questions, and welcome gifts were distributed in a positive and interactive atmosphere.
