The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Kharj, represented by the Community Responsibility Unit and the Student Activities Unit, organized the World Radiography Day event on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in collaboration with the University Hospital and King Khalid Hospital in Al-Kharj.
The event aimed to raise awareness of the importance of radiography and medical imaging and its role in providing safe and effective patient care, as well as to highlight the role of radiologic technologists and introduce the latest technologies and applications in the field.
The event featured the participation of faculty members from the Department of Radiological Sciences and Medical Imaging, staff from the radiology departments at the participating hospitals, and students from the College. It included brief presentations introducing the different areas of radiology and medical imaging, along with educational and awareness booths highlighting the importance of medical imaging, its applications, and its role in diagnosis and healthcare. Educational brochures and gifts were also distributed, and participants responded to visitors’ questions and inquiries.
The event received positive feedback and strong engagement from hospital staff and visitors, reflecting the value of the health and educational information presented and its contribution to raising awareness of the importance of radiography and medical imaging within the healthcare system.
