In line with Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University’s commitment to implementing best practices and international standards in the field of digital transformation, and in its endeavor to enable all segments of society to fully benefit from electronic services and digital content, this Accessibility Policy has been developed as a reference framework to ensure the provision of an inclusive and accessible digital experience for all, without exception.
This policy aims to ensure easy and equitable access to the University’s electronic portal for all users, including persons with disabilities, by adhering to internationally recognized standards in the design, development, and operation of the electronic portal, thereby ensuring effective and secure use of digital services.
This policy applies to all components of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University’s electronic portal, including web pages, applications, electronic forms, and digital services.
The University is committed to implementing the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) issued by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), ensuring compliance with the highest global level (AAA). This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Providing digital content that is readable and usable by all users.
- Ensuring compatibility of the portal with assistive technologies, such as screen readers.
- Enabling users to control text size, colors, and contrast to meet their visual needs.
- Designing a clear and well-structured content architecture that facilitates navigation and access to information.

The portal is also developed to be fully accessible via smartphones and tablets, enabling users to access electronic services, news, and university events anytime and anywhere.
In addition, the “Mawarid” application has been developed as an integrated platform providing essential electronic services to University staff members and beneficiaries.
To ensure inclusivity and facilitate access to services, the University provides multiple official digital channels for delivering electronic services in a secure and reliable manner, while ensuring their integration and continuous updating to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and reliability.
The University is committed to conducting periodic enhancements to the electronic portal to ensure ongoing compliance with accessibility standards and alignment with evolving technologies. User feedback and recommendations are also welcomed as a key source for continuous improvement in this area.
