Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU), represented by the General Administration of Information Technology, launched its 2026–2028 Digital Transformation Strategic Plan on Monday, August 17, 2026. The launch was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Hamad bin Nasser Al-Turaiki, Director of the General Administration of Information Technology Waleed bin Mohammed Al-Sulaitin, and a number of administration directors. The plan aims to advance the University’s journey toward sustainable digital transformation and enhance the quality of its academic and administrative services.
Waleed bin Mohammed Al-Sulaitin, Director of the General Administration of Information Technology, explained that the plan builds on the University’s commitment to developing an integrated digital ecosystem by leveraging emerging technologies, data, and artificial intelligence. It also focuses on strengthening governance, cybersecurity, and business continuity, while advancing digital infrastructure and platforms and enhancing the user experience.
Vice Rector Prof. Hamad bin Nasser Al-Turaiki emphasized that the launch marks an important milestone in the University’s digital transformation journey and reflects its commitment to investing in technology and innovation as key enablers of institutional excellence and the continued development of university operations. He noted that the plan will help align digital initiatives, strengthen integration across the University’s sectors, and improve service efficiency.
The General Administration of Information Technology will lead the implementation of the plan’s strategic targets and monitor its performance indicators in collaboration with the University’s various sectors. This will help ensure the sustainability of digital transformation and the achievement of its objectives in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and national priorities for digital transformation and digital government.
