Mission of the Inventory Control Administration
To implement inventory management operations in accordance with the highest standards of quality by employing highly qualified human resources, adopting best practices and advanced technologies, and continuously developing them in line with the Rules and Procedures for Government Warehouses.
Objectives
- Safeguard the University's assets across all its warehouses and organizational units.
- Establish an optimal storage system based on the condition, nature, and type of stored items.
- Ensure the provision of warehouse services to all University entities.
- Ensure the proper application and implementation of warehouse systems and procedures within the framework of applicable regulations.
- Apply the Rules and Procedures for Government Warehouses governing receiving, issuing, recording, and other related processes.
- Eliminate warehouse-related problems and minimize errors, deviations, and non-compliant practices to safeguard public funds against loss or misuse.
- Conduct the necessary studies to determine appropriate inventory levels and optimal economic order quantities, thereby preventing shortages or excess inventory and minimizing the risk of damage or expiration.
- Provide continuous training for all levels of warehouse personnel, custodial asset officers, and inventory controllers to ensure the effective practical implementation of the methods and procedures stipulated in the Rules and Procedures for Government Warehouses.
- Enhance inventory control by transitioning all related activities and systems to automated and electronic processes.
