Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, represented by the Research and Development Center, participated in the World Defense Show 2026, held in the city of Riyadh during the period from 8 to 12 February 2026 CE, where it showcased more than 40 innovative products and technologies in the fields of defense systems, robotics, unmanned aircraft and vehicles, and communications and electronic warfare systems, as part of the University's efforts to support scientific research, innovation, and the localization of advanced technologies.
The University's pavilion saw wide interest from visitors and local and international government, military, and industrial entities, who viewed the latest innovations developed by the Center, including unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned ground and marine vehicles, quadruped robots, and electronic warfare systems, in addition to a number of advanced technologies reflecting the University's research and applied capabilities.
The University's pavilion also received visits from a number of highnesses, excellencies, senior officials, and military and academic leaders, who praised the innovative technical solutions provided by the Research and Development Center that contribute to supporting the defense industries system and national innovation.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the University signed three memoranda of understanding with SAMI L3Harris Technologies, and the Ministry of Interior, and Electronic Photonics Company, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the fields of research and development, knowledge transfer, localization of advanced technologies, and building national capabilities.
This participation is an extension of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University's efforts to strengthen its presence in specialized international forums and support the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by developing national technologies and building strategic partnerships that contribute to empowering innovation, research and development, and serving the defense and industrial sectors.
