The Director of the Research and Development Center at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Dr. Thamer bin Suleiman Al-Munif, received His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Kharj, on Monday, 15 September 2025 CE, corresponding to 23 Rabi' al-Awwal 1447 AH, at the Center's headquarters in the city of Al-Kharj, in the presence of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim, and a number of the University's vice presidents.
During the visit, His Highness toured the Center's facilities and research laboratories. The tour included the Applied Electronics and Electromagnetics Lab and an introduction to its various sections, along with the advanced equipment and technologies it houses that contribute to supporting scientific research and innovation.
The Center also presented a number of its most notable research projects and products, including unmanned ground and aerial vehicles, remotely operated underwater vehicles, power amplifiers, surveillance robots, and biometric reading and landmine detection sensors, with the Center's engineers and trainee students explaining how these innovations work and their applications in research and technical fields.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz praised the advanced research capabilities and distinguished projects he had seen, expressing his admiration for the outstanding achievements the Center had accomplished in record time, and affirming the importance of supporting the research, development, and innovation system in a way that contributes to achieving development goals and the Kingdom's Vision 2030
