The Director of the Research and Development Center at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Dr. Thamer bin Suleiman Al-Munif, received the delegation of the Strategic Committee of the Council of University Affairs on Monday, 29 September 2025 CE, corresponding to 7 Rabi' al-Thani 1447 AH, in the presence of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim, and a number of the University's vice presidents, at the Center's headquarters in the city of Al-Kharj.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Center's facilities and research laboratories. The tour included the Applied Electronics and Electromagnetics Lab and an introduction to its various sections, in addition to a review of the technical and research capabilities the Center devotes to supporting innovation and scientific research.
The delegation also viewed a number of research projects and products developed by the Center, most notably unmanned ground and aerial vehicles, remotely operated underwater vehicles, power amplifiers, surveillance robots, and biometric reading and landmine detection sensors, with the Center's engineers and trainee students explaining how they work and their applications.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Committee's delegation praised the Center's advanced research infrastructure and distinguished national talent, commending the achievements and notable projects it has accomplished, which reflect the excellence of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in the fields of research, development, and innovation.
