Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, represented by the Research and Development Center, received on Tuesday, 22 October 2024 CE, corresponding to 19 Rabi' al-Thani 1446 AH, a delegation from the Ministry of Education headed by His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Education for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Uqaili, accompanied by a number of Ministry officials, in the presence of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim, the University Vice President Dr. Raed bin Abdullah Al-Yousef, and a number of college deans and advisors to the University President.
The visit began with a welcoming speech delivered by the University Vice President, Dr. Raed bin Abdullah Al-Yousef, in which he affirmed the University's commitment to supporting the research and development system and strengthening scientific partnerships, followed by a field tour of the laboratories and workshops of the Research and Development Center.
During the tour, the delegation viewed the Applied Electronics and Electromagnetics Lab and its specialized sections, which include digital circuit programming, high-frequency electronics, printed circuit boards, and biomedical engineering, and listened to an explanation of the lab's capabilities and its role in supporting research and innovation projects.
The Center also presented a number of its most notable projects and technical products, including unmanned ground and aerial vehicles, remotely operated underwater vehicles, power amplifiers, surveillance robots, and biometric reading and landmine detection sensors, with the Center's engineers and trainee students explaining their applications and areas of use.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Ministry of Education delegation praised the advanced research and technical capabilities it had seen, commending the notable projects offered by the Research and Development Center that contribute to supporting innovation and scientific research and reflect the distinguished standing that Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University enjoys in this field.
